Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Don’t know where to start? Check out the “Starter Kit” page on the Autodesk website. This comprehensive, step-by-step guide will walk you through a sample drawing in a few easy-to-follow steps. The Starter Kit provides a foundation of AutoCAD concepts and skills. Start from the beginning with the “Hello World” example included in the Starter Kit.

AutoCAD Keyboards & Menus. AutoCAD uses a Windows-style keyboard layout with three rows of keystrokes, with modifiers to the left and right of the default keys.

There are two standard keyboard layouts available in AutoCAD:

A standard keyboard.

A type-pad keyboard.

A standard keyboard is what AutoCAD uses by default. If you prefer to use the type-pad layout, see the “Select Input Method” dialog.

Starting from CAD 2014, the DWG file format is used, as well as the BMP image file format. The DWG file format provides the ability to import or export the features of the drawing.

Beginning in AutoCAD 2010, there is a number of ways for users to find drawings that they have created or modified. The traditional way to find a drawing has been to browse the list of drawings by the user name, or to create a filtered version of the drawing list in the Drawing Manager. Other ways to find a drawing include viewing the.DWG file, the DXF file, the.ASC file (in older versions of AutoCAD), the.WPG file (in older versions of AutoCAD) or looking it up by its UID.

With recent releases of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) features in AutoCAD, users have the ability to search for drawings and models from their repository system. They can then browse them to determine which ones they want to draw from or which ones they want to be able to modify.

The drawing and model library
Each model in AutoCAD is a collection of objects in the library. Each object may have a number of properties, such as the location of the object, or the name of the user who created the object. Models are located in the directory specified by the user.

A drawing is a collection of models. It is also a collection of layers. A layer is the view in which objects are seen. In a simple case, a user can draw objects in view 1, view 2, view 3, etc. However, users have the ability to create multiple views.

Once a model is opened, it becomes part of a drawing and becomes visible in the drawing window. When a drawing is saved, all of the objects become part of the drawing in the library. If the user manually moves an object out of the drawing, but not to the library, that object will be physically removed from the drawing, and will not be added to the drawing until the drawing is saved. If the object is already in the library, it will not be added to the drawing.

Another, less common way for objects to become part of the library is through the use of the FEP (Find-Engine-Process) tool. FEP allows users to create their own procedure to locate and copy objects to the library. FEP is limited to certain types of objects, such as geometry and text.

Configure the software. Set the system files to local. Install the software.

Locate the “Config.ini” file located in “C:\Users\*.*\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD” and replace it with the one generated by “My Autodesk AutoCAD”. Note that “*.*” replaces the users and the rest of the characters from the Autodesk AutoCAD’s installation path.

Copy the registry key to the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD”
Go to the directory to find a file that has “AutoCAD”. Note that “AutoCAD” can be translated to any text written by the software such as “AutoCAD 2016”, “AutoCAD 365”, etc. Look for a file that has “AutoCAD” written as the text name.

Replace the following registry value with the generated key using the keygen:

Locate “ACAD.dpr” or “ACAD.exe” and replace it with the keygen generated file.

If you find other files named as “ACAD.dpr” or “ACAD.exe”, look for the file that has “AutoCAD” written as the text name and replace it.
