As a pilot, there are very few “stand-alone” programs that I can use to find the ISA pressure and density values.

Predicting the ISA is a great tool for those interested in the latest trend in wind turbine technology.

If this same technology were applied to the average wind speed in your area, you could predict when the winds will be too high for your power. This would be a real power saving and save you money.

Is there any information available about what direction/altitude you need to fly the plane to get the accurate values? Any recommendation for a little plane? I would like to use a Piper Cub, preferably flown by a competent pilot.

Very useful software to know if the wind is calm enough to use your solar panels. When you are under the wind can you still get a charge, if the wind is too strong you are better off on a stationary panel.

This is a great tool to get an idea of what you could potentially do with the wind to make it useful, but I’ve always found that the average speed of wind is fairly consistent.

To use it on a large-scale, it would take a lot of calculation power on your part to figure out what you could generate with wind at varying locations, which is likely why I’ve never seen anything like this before.

It looks great, and looks like it’s very useful for those of us who are into aviation. The manual is great, too.
